Julie Herrick
Ballroom and Latin instructor. Line Dancing and Salsa instructor.
I.D.T.A. (International Dance Teachers Association)
N.A.T.D. (National Association of Teachers of Dancing)
Julie in originally from Peterborough. She started dancing Ballet and tap at the age of 4. Her mum said she complained the teacher squeezed her hand to hard, so her future in ballet ended! At 8 years old Julie started Ballroom dancing and has not looked back since.
She braked for a couple of years whilst moving to Luton and then here to Grimsby where she took up figure skating but soon went back to her first love Ballroom dancing.
Julie joined the studio when it was still known as Lillians Dance Studio and was taught by Lorna. She went on from strength to strength and is now a fully qualified teacher in both Latin American, Ballroom and Line Dancing.
Julie loves to see children learning the beautiful art of Ballroom and Latin and not just freestyle disco and thinks the new programme of Strictly Come Dancing has revived this style of dancing. It demands grace, effort and control and hopes all the children she teaches now will continue to love and dance Ballroom and Latin for a long time to come. She is extremely proud of all her dancers.
