History

Mayfair School of Dancing has been a major contributor towards dance in this area for many years. More people may remember us as Lillians Dance School, with principals Lillian and her daughter Lorna running it. Latin and Ballroom was very popular then and the school contributed highley to many children learning this style of dance for many years.

But as we all know styles change and different dance crazes come and go. But one was to stay and make it BIG!! DISCO!! Now more frequently known as FREESTYLE.

Lillians after many years also changed. It became Mayfair School of Dance with new principal Irene Cottingham who made the school even stronger using freestyle and enlisted the help of Vera Bartlett. Vera went on to become the principal of Mayfair and took the school from strength to strength over coming all obstacles.

Mayfair now has a team of 8 teachers, with years of experience together making Mayfair School of Dancing one of the biggest schools in the area, a household name and the best dance school for your children to become champions and able to achieve there dreams.
