Hi I’m Emma, I am now in my early 20’s and I first started ballroom dancing when I was 5. When I was 7 I moved to Mayfair and carried on with my Ballroom and latin but also started Disco and Rock ‘n’ Roll classes. A couple of years later I started Disco competitions and became hooked, every couple of weeks we would travel to different competitions and around the country, within a couple of years I was at dancing champion status. I then started Latin competitions which I loved but unfortunately the Disco competitions took place on the same day so gradually faded out. At 15 I decided I didn’t want to compete anymore and that teaching was what I wanted to do so I took my student exam at 16 and my associate at 18. My passion is now not only for the dancing but for the children, I am now watching them dance at competitions which makes me feel immensely proud. |
